DESCRIPTION

Large French relief painting formed in painted fiberglass, framed in warm toned wood. The panel shows a group of elongated figures arranged in a stylized narrative scene, their shapes built up in sculpted fiberglass and washed in saturated reds, teals and golds. The surface has a tactile, hand shaped quality that gives the composition depth and movement. Signed lower left.
